Ricky Holland Vanished

The Lansing State Journal reported today that Circuit Judge Paula Manderfield today ruled Lisa Holland will still stand trial for the murder of her adopted son, Ricky Holland, on September 11, 2006. This means that jury selection will begin on that date.

Circuit Judge Paula Manderfield set Tim Holland’s trial date for January 22, 2007. She also set bond for both defendants at $1 million.

I was hoping to see Tim and Lisa Holland tried together. Maybe this decision is a good thing, I don’t know.

The Lansing State Journal reported today that the Holland murder trial has been postponed due to legal issues.

Tim Holland’s attorney filed an appeal with the State Court of Appeals. The State Court of Appeals ruled that Tim Holland’s murder trial can be postponed pending the results of the appeal. Arguments regarding Tim Holland’s appeal will be heard in October.

Prosecutors will be filing an appeal regarding Lisa Holland. If that appeal is granted, then Lisa Holland’s trial will also be put on hold. However, it is not clear that if that appeal is denied if Lisa Holland would still stand trial on September 11, 2006 for the murder of her adopted son Ricky Holland.
